Pacific Marine Mammal Center and the Domoic Acid bloom

23 minutes | Friday, April 11, 2025

Unusually early toxic algae bloom is sickening and killing marine life, causing the Pacific Marine Mammal Center to take in an unusually high number of sick sea lions and cetaceans. The amount of food, medications, and medical supplies makes treatment more expensive than that for typical patients, putting a financial strain on PMMC's standard resources. Want to help?
