Ed asks the Mayor about the recent Closed Session item that appears to involve converting the contract services for the City Attorney into an in-house employee position, and topics from Tuesday's City Council meeting, including a new licensing scheme to aid with management and enforcement efforts for unauthorized short-term lodging units, economic incentives and the hiring of a consultant to help draw in businesses to Laguna Beach, and the resolution to support further analysis of possibly extending the Marine Protection Area.
